I'm proud to announce that I am finally kicking off my weekly tournament series "Shrek it Up"! We will be using it to experiment with different ruleset options while giving players a way to get consistent practice against others. The first weekly will take place on Sunday, February 21st at 3 PM EST. We will use a standard ruleset with a new stagelist.
First to Slam 5 Stocks 8 Minutes
Stagelist is as follows Romeo Drive (Neutral) Medieval Chef (Neutral) Giant's Table (Neutral) Fat Boy (CP) Gepetto's Workshop (CP) Bean Stalk (CP) Dragon's Lair (CP)
Players will play Rock Paper Scissors via roshambo.me for 1st stage strike. The winner of Rock Paper Scissors will choose who gets to strike a stage from the neutral stages and the other player will then pick the starter from the remaining 2 neutrals. Winner of each game will ban a stage and loser will counterpick. Bans are effective throughout the entire set for both players, stage STRIKES are only in effect for the 1st game.
Infinites will be LEGAL
Excessive stalling will result in a DQ (We can't really monitor this apart from streamed matches so just try not to be a dick)
Any glitch causing a player to be stuck out of bounds will result in a rematch with the same stage/characters/stock count when the glitch occured.
Matches will be streamed by myself at twitch.tv/meowmixssb. I will try my best to commentate solo when I can but I will not be able to commentate my own matches.
Sign up page is here. Check in will start 1 hour prior to the tournament, you MUST go to the Challonge page and click the check in button before 3 PM or you WILL be DQ'd.
All tournament discussion and matchmaking will take place on the ShrekBoards Discord channel here.
EDIT: WE ARE USING THE STANDARD NTSC U ISO. This version of Dolphin has everything unlocked and the settings set correctly for use with netplay, please download it here.

I would recommend using an ISO that can be downloaded complete.

Not really a fan of having three neutrals, personally, tbh. It centralizes a lot of power during stage striking and could unbalance a lot of matchups. I'm also just really salty because you've got two of Robin Hood's worst stages as neutrals so I lose no matter what I strike lol. Guess that's what you're testing tho and I can't compete in netplay stuff atm anyway so it's all fine.
Editing to add that I do really like this treatment for Zed0 stalling.
