Prince Charming has some good movement options. In this thread are example gifs of some advanced movement techs, which I hope will help newcomers to the game be aware of the movement options available to them. Many of the ideas here apply to other characters, and I would hope that readers find use in this regardless of their main.
Swooce
(GFY)
The swooce is a bread and butter movement option for a lot of characters, and Charming's is one of the easier ones to perform. Whilst doing an aerial dash, shield drop and jump out of the shield to transfer the momentum from the dash into your jump. The timing can be a little awkward at first, and trying to jump too early will often lead you to miss the jump entirely.
Fake Swooce
(GFY)
The fake swooce works on a similar principle to the swooce, but instead of transferring momentum from an aerial dash, it uses Charming's aerial dodge. Jump and immediately input an aerial dodge, and then jump out of the dodge. Unlike the swooce, the fake swooce doesn't burn up your aerial dash, affording you more options near the opponent. It does however lack an offensive hitbox.
Low Wall Attack Cancel
(GFY)
Charming's low wall attack has brilliant range. By jumping and immediately wall attacking, he can gain a little more distance when shield-cancelling the attack (compared to grounded). Due to its speed it is great at getting you in close for a grab.
Ledge Bounce
(GFY)
By performing a high ledge attack (high wall attacking whilst climbing up a ledge) and shield-cancelling a moment afterwards, you can suddenly and sharply leap off of the ledge in an arc. This can be quite useful to mislead your opponent, or to retreat if the ledge might be threatened.
Low Ledge Bounce
(GFY)
This is executed identically to the ledge bounce, except the attack must be a low wall attack. This gives an abrupt backward motion, of a similar distance to a roll. The neat thing about this is that it puts out an active hitbox on the top of the ledge, but otherwise can be interchanged with a roll with minimal difference.
Hope these are useful, and if you like this sort of thing I'd be happy to cover other topics or characters if you ask.
