As I'm sure you're all aware, Boasting Toast's post-SitS tier list puts Robin Hood at B-tier, as the eighth best character in the game. This is actually only one spot above where I put Robin Hood on my personal tier list. However, as I've been looking over Robin Hood's matchup spread, I'm not sure that this is where he's going to stay. Robin Hood players know how much Robin Hood can do, but as of right now, there is zero footage of high-level Robin Hood play and Robin Hood has yet to be used in a major tournament. Until these things start to appear, non-Robin Hood players really have nothing to judge the character on and it would be unfair to put him any higher on the tier list.
That being said, out of all of the six top tier characters, Robin Hood only loses to Gingerbread Man. He beats Black Knight and Dronkey, goes pretty much even with Puss In Boots and Prince Charming, and has a playable matchup against Red Riding Hood. As far as I'm concerned, this is not the matchup spread of a B-tier character. Robin Hood appears to have distinct advantages over the other B-tier characters (aside from maybe Fiona, who's similarly unseen thus far) when it comes to performing at the top levels. It is for this reason that I believe Robin Hood is a viable character and for this reason that I am continuing to try to push his meta forward. I agree with Toast in his suggestion that we continue to explore new character in order to drive the community forward in a healthy way.
