Gallery
You can see my gallery of renders HERE. There is currently only one of each character but I hope to have some more done soon. These will look good on a black background or ANY background with a bit of fiddling.
Requests
If you have any render requests please post them here. Please allow plenty of time for me to do them as I'm not always in a position to work on this. Thanks for understanding!
Guide
This is a guide for creating your own renders. Run Shrek SuperSlam Tournament Edition (get it from HERE) using either the practice or netplay Dolphin build provided with it. Choose "Continue Without Saving" and go to the multiplayer menu. If you want renders of characters on a black background then read the next section. If you just want to take pictures of characters in game then skip to "Composing Your Shot".
Creating Your "Studio"
I personally use Far Far Away Tower as my studio. If you would like to use this level too I have provided a texture pack here (SHRE52.zip (441.29 KB)) that will make almost the entire level black. Simply extract the file into User > Load > Texture and replace your current SHRE52 file. Now go into Dolphin and go to your graphic settings by clicking the "Graphics" button. Choose the "Advanced" tab and tick "Load Custom Textures". You can do this at any point during your game but it can be a bit difficult to navigate the mostly black environment so composing your shot before activating your studio can be handy.
If you want to make your own studio on a different level you need to turn on "Dump Textures" in the advanced graphics menu. Do this when the emulation is paused (F10) on the loading screen then unpause and allow the level to run for a short time. Now turn "Dump Textures" off and access the file User > Dump > Texture > SHRE52 to see all the textures that Dolphin has loaded. Now you must copy or move these textures into the User > Load > Texture > SHRE52 and paint the entire texture back using any image editing software. I recommend the free program GIMP and using "Overwrite" in the main menu to do this quickly. It's obvious what some textures are but some of them can be hard to identify so you must use trial and error to colour the level black.
Composing Your Shot
In the character select screen press Z+Y to open the debug menu. Use the D-Pad and A to select the Game Menu. Now use the D-Pad to select "Disable Poker Chips" (this disables the coloured circles under the characters feet) and press right on the D-Pad to enable this. Do the same to enable "Hide HUD" (hides the time, SLAM meters and pause menu) and press Z+X to close the debug menu. Use a controller or the TAS input in the "Movie" menu to make one of the other players human then choose their character and their team. I recommend you make a Save State now by pressing Shift+F1. Now you can press F1 to return to the CSS and select a new character and stage without having to mess around with the debug menu or with another controller for the other player. This will work even if you close and reopen Dolphin.
Choose the character you want and set the game type to Last Man Standing with no time limit. Choose whichever stage/ studio you want. Now you can take pictures. Press L+R to activate free camera. Now you can move the camera forwards, backwards, left and right with the control stick, move up and down with the L and R buttons, look with the C-Stick and change the field of view with D-Pad left and right. If you press X you can fix the camera and have control return to your character. Pressing L+R again after this will let you resume control of the camera. If you press L+R while controlling the camera will return to its regular behavior. You can also control the camera while paused which is useful for getting renders of characters doing attacks.
